Just a short distance away you can walk the lines drawn for independence and visit the Alamo – one of five Spanish colonial missions in the area. |

Preferential Lodging
A block of rooms have been reserved at the discounted rate of $159 + tax per night at The Westin Riverwalk. (This rate includes high-speed internet access.) Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved by 5:00 PM Central Standard Time on Monday, February 15th in order to receive the conference rate. Any reservation made after this date will be accepted based on availability and may not receive the conference rate.
To reserve your room via telephone, contact The Westin at 888.627.8396 and request a room in the "PowerSchool Advanced Learning Summit" block. Alternatively, you can reserve your room online at the dedicated ALS Reservation Site .
Travel and Parking
The San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is approximately 15 minutes or 8 miles miles from the hotel.
Recommended transit from SAT:
Shuttle transportation is available through SATRANS and is $18 one-way and $32 round trip. Tickets can be purchased at the airport's baggage claim area. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 7:00am to 1:00am.
The other option is to take a taxi from the airport for approximately $23 each way. Taxis are readily available outside of baggage claim.
If traveling by vehicle from the airport:
Take U.S. 281 South (Highway 37) into downtown. Take the Commerce Street Exit and turn right onto Commerce Street. Turn left onto St. Mary's Street and then turn left onto Market Street. The hotel is located on the corner of Market and Navarro.
Please note that rental cars are optional, but not needed at ALS.
Parking
If you do have a car, valet parking is available at The Westin Riverwalk for $30 a day. Self parking is also available for $15 a day at a covered parking garage across the street from the hotel.
Evening Entertainment
The Westin Riverwalk is on the banks of the historic San Antonio Riverwalk, a three-mile meandering stretch of walkways following shallow water, and trees amid boutique shops and restaurants that wind below street-level through downtown San Antonio, Texas. Gondola cruises along the Riverwalk are available just a few steps away, beginning at the RiverCentre Mall. In addition, only a few street-level blocks from the Westin, the cannon-torn walls of the Alamo Mission provide a definitive glimpse into the spirit of Texas.
ALS Attire
The Advanced Learning Summit is very casual so please wear what is comfortable to you. The average day-time high for this time of year in San Antonio is 74 degrees, with the night-time low averaging 50 degrees. Air conditioning in the classrooms can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers or bringing a sweater.
