Registration and Assessment

What is the registration process?
First, create your profile on the PowerSchool Advanced Learning Summit 2010 Registration site; you will need your school customer number in order to do this. Please remember your user name and password as you will need it again. To be eligible for registration, you MUST first complete and submit the assessment, which ensures that those registering have advanced skills and knowledge of PowerSchool prior to attending. The assessment can be found here. The questions may look easy at first, but be careful they are surprisingly challenging. Allot enough time to answer each question correctly and completely. You must complete and submit the assessment prior to 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, December 13, 2009.
What happens after I take the assessment?
All assessments will be graded after the cut off date. If you qualify to attend this event, you will receive an invitation to attend via email by mid January. Once you receive an invitation, you will log back into the registration site to accept or decline the invitation. Then, submit a purchase order to confirm a seat. Your seat will be confirmed online once we receive your method of payment. At anytime you may check your registration status by logging in online at www.powerschooladvancedlearningsummit.com
Will everyone with a passing score be invited to this event?
We anticipate that we will be able to accommodate all those who qualify. However, should we reach our maximum capacity, we will determine who to invite by using the time and date stamp of the submitted entries. It is to your advantage to complete the assessment as soon as possible.
If I'm invited to attend, how do I confirm my seat at ALS 2010?

The closest airport is the San Antonio International Airport (SAT), which is approximately 15 minutes or 8 miles from the hotel.
How should I dress?
The Advanced Learning Summit is very casual. Please wear what is comfortable to you. The average day-time high for this time of the year in San Antonio is 74 degrees, with the night-time low averaging 50 degrees. Air conditioning in the classrooms can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a sweater to wear during class.
Laptop

What should I bring to ALS 2010?
The classes are hands-on training. However, unlike PowerSchool University, we will NOT provide you with a laptop. Please bring your own Mac or PC laptop that is capable of wireless connection to the available network and the Internet. (The network will be IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g compliant.) Remember to bring your power adapter and other accessories. (We also recommend that you label your power adapter and accessories with your name, in the event they are misplaced.) Should you require any assistance with your laptop or the wireless network dedicated technical staff will be onsite.
